Synopsis:
Iranian taekwandoka, Morteza Nezhadi accepts to be defeated in the Olympics 2002 due to some political reasons and then he loses everything in his personal and professional life. After eight years, he is called back for another attempt in the national team, but he must face a young stubborn world champion called Behdad Moghimi also known as Tsunami. But there is turmoil in his personal life too when it comes to his partner, a girl basketball player who is not accepted in Iran’s national team for her Afghan descent…

It is not about the confrontation of the good and the evil at all. It is all about human beings as we are – human beings with some strengths and some weaknesses.
Director’s Profile:
Born in Tehran in 1982, Milad Sadrameli studied Textile Engineering in the University – however, due to his constant collaboration with his father, Rasoul Sadrameli, he started his film career when he was a teenager. After gaining some experiences as an actor and assistant director, he directed a documentary film about the former head coach of Iran National Football Team, Branko Ivanković, entitled VARAZDIN PEDESTRIANS (2006) which entered film festival circuits. TSUNAMI is his debut feature film.
