A CHILDLESS VILLAGE to compete in Red Sea IFF 2022
In the 2nd edition of Red Sea International Film Festival (December 1st to 10th, 2022 / KSA), Reza Jamali’s second debut feature film, A CHILDLESS VILLAGE enters the main competition section.
A CHILDLESS VILLAGE travels back to Jamali’ village of no name (somewhere like Yoknapatawpha or Macondo) in the heights of the northern parts of Azerbaijan provinces in Iran with wittiness and intelligence to tackle down the most probable issues in a patriarch society and focus on the way the women are treated in a traditional, superstitious community.
After its world premiere at the newly established competitive section, Critics’ Pick, in Tallinn Black Nights International Film Festival, A CHILDLESS VILLAGE celebrates its MENA Premiere at Red Sea International Film Festival.
