BETWEEN THE CLIFFS Goes to BUFF 2023
Mokhtar Abdollahi’s debut feature film, BETWEEN THE CLIFFS, will be a part of the official program at the 40th BUFF International Film Festival (March 11th to 17th, 2023 / Malmo, Sweden), one of the most important screening venues for films for children and young people in the Nordic countries.
Enhanced by surprising performances by the child actors, through the story of a young boy and his little sister who are obliged to take the cattle to the ranches in the heights of a mountain, intertwined with the Persian mythical tales, BETWEEN THE CLIFFS goes through a visual venture to depict how everything that seems beautiful and heartwarming in the daylight might look terrible and threatening in the nighttime.
