19 to be screened in Lugano 2023
Manijeh Hekmat will receive HUMAN RIGHT AWARD (TO THE AUTHOR) at the 10th Human Rights Film Festival Lugano (October 19th to 29th, 2023 / Switzerland) for her lifetime achievements.
On this occasion, her film, 19, will be also screened at the festival.
The film. 19, has previously participated in Kolkata IFF 2022 (International Competition: Innovation in Moving Images), IFF Kerala 2022 (World Cinema), RIFFK 2022, UCLA Celebration of Iranian Cinema 2022, Batumi IAFF 2022 (Main Competition), Religion Today FF 2022 (Feature Film Competition), Terni FF 2022, Sofia MENAR FF 2023 (Focus on Iranian Women Filmmakers), IAWRT Asian Women’s Film Festival 2023 and Life beyond Life Film Festival 2023 (Best Film Award, Best Director Award and Best Script Award).
