Javad Ezati wins the Best Actor Award at Slemani IFF 2021
In the 5th Slemani International Film Festival (December 17th to 23rd, 2021 / Kurdistan, Iraq), Javad Ezati wins the Best Actor Award for Mohammad Kart’s debut feature film, DROWN.
The awards and nominations list of the film, DROWN, includes: Audience Award, Best Supporting Actor Award (Amir Aghaei), Best Supporting Actress Award (Tannaz Tabatabaei), Best Editing Award and Best Sound Award at Fajr National Film Festival (Feb. 2020 – Iran); Three Nominations for Media Choice Award for Film(s) (selected by a media jury composed of international film journalists/critics), Media Choice Award for Filmmaker(s) (selected by a media jury composed of international film journalists/critics) and Audience Award for Film (voted by the audience) at Shanghai International Film Festival (June.2021 – PRC); Special Jury Prize Award – Best Foreign Language Film Category at Wales International Film Festival (September.2021 – UK); Awards for the Best Actor (Javad Ezati) and the Best Supporting Actress (Tannaz Tabatabaei) and Nomination for the Best Narrative Feature Nominee at Loudoun Arts Film Festival (September.2021 – USA); Best Script Award at Barcelona Asian Film Festival (October.2021 – Spain); and Best Actor Award and Best Director, Best Script and Best Actress nominations at Slemani International Film Festival (December.2021 – Iraq).
