Manijeh Hekmat received Human Right Award (to Author) at Lugano Human Rights FF 2023
In the 10th Human Rights Film Festival Lugano (October 19th to 29th, 2023 / Switzerland), Manijeh Hekamt received HUMAN RIGHT AWARD (TO THE AUTHOR) for her lifetime achievements.
On this occasion, her film, 19, was also screened at the festival.
Up to now, the film. 19, has been a part of official selection in Kolkata IFF 2022 (International Competition: Innovation in Moving Images), IFF Kerala 2022 (World Cinema), RIFFK 2022, UCLA Celebration of Iranian Cinema 2022, Batumi IAFF 2022 (Main Competition), Religion Today FF 2022 (Feature Film Competition), Terni FF 2022, Sofia MENAR FF 2023 (Focus on Iranian Women Filmmakers), IAWRT Asian Women’s Film Festival 2023, Life beyond Life Film Festival 2023 (Best Film Award, Best Director Award and Best Script Award), Human Rights Film Festival Lugano 2023 (Human Right Award to the Author) and Asian Film Festival Barcelona 2023 (NETPAC Competition).
