Six Films in Wales IFF 2021
Six IRIMAGE titles are included in the official selection of the 5th Wales International Films Festival to be held virtually in two different stages: the first stage starting from August 25th will be showcasing on all the selected films in the different competitive categories; and the second stage going on from September 15th to 17th focusing on the nominated titles.
The selected films are:
THE 4TH ROUND directed by Alireza Amini – Winner of the Best Actress and the Best Cinematography Awards at Russia’s Within the Family Film Festival.
THE DOGS DIDN’T SLEEP LAST NIGHT directed by Ramin Rasouli – Winner of the Interfaith Prize at Fajr International Film Festival and Main Competition Entry in International Film Festival of India – Goa
THE SLAUGHTERHOUSE directed by Abbas Amini – Winner of Kim Jiseok Prize at Busan IFF, Ecumenical Jury’s Special Mention at Mannheim-Heidelberg IFF and Jury Prize at Remis Polar IFF.
DROWN directed by Mohammad Kart – Winner of 5 Awards (including the Audience Award) at Fajr National Film Festival) and Belt and Road Competition Entry at Shanghai International Film Festival.
THE CHICK directed by Bijan Aarabi – Winner of CH Cinema Network Award at Fribourg IFF and Competition Entry at Hong Kong IFF.
FORCED directed by Siavash Gorjestani – Eastern Vista Competition Entry at Fajr International Film Festival.
