Two Acting Awards for DROWN in Loudoun Arts Film Festival
Mohammad Kart’s debut feature film, DROWN, received the Best Actor Award (Javad Ezati) and the Best Supporting Actress Award (Tannaz Tabatabaei) in Loudoun Arts Film Festival (September 10th to 19th, 2021 / USA). The film was also nominated for the Best Narrative Feature Award.
Winner of five awards in Fajr National Film Festival, nominee for three awards in Belt and Road section in Shanghai International Film Festival and Special Jury Prize Winner for the Best Foreign Language Film in Wales International Film Festival, DROWN is an action-packed drama, delving into essential contemporary subjects such as violence, prejudice, ethics and judgement.
The film was named the top box office hit in Iran in the COVID year of 2020.
