Best Screenplay Award Goes to Mahmoud Kalari’s SUMMERTIME in Slemani IFF 2025
In the 5th edition of Slemani International Film Festival (October 9th to 16th, 2025 / Sulaymaniyah, Iraq), Mahmoud Kalari receives the Best Script Award for his film, SUMMERTIME.
The film has been previously screened in a number of international film events such as Mostra – Sao Paulo International Film Festival 2024 (International Perspective), Bosphorus Film Festival 2024 (International Feature Film Competition), Dhaka International Film Festival 2025 (Special Mention for the Best Director + the Best Actor Award), Pune International Film Festival 2025(Global Cinema Program), Rainbow Film Festival – London 2025 (Best Film Award), Golden Femi Film Festival 2025 (Best Foreign Language Film Award) and Love International Film Festival 2025 (Winner of the Best Cinematography Award).
