THE SUN OF THAT MOON and GISOUM to compete at Within the Family IFF
In the 17th edition of Within the Family International Film Festival (Yaroslavl, Russia / July 2nd to 4th, 2022), two Iranian debut feature films will be a part of the main competition program: THE SUN OF THAT MOON and GISOUM.
Premiered in International Film Festival of India – Goa and most recently icluded in the competitive section of Zurich Iranian Film Festival, Setareh Eskandari’s THE SUN OF THAT MOON is a visual feast on love and silence, depicting a quiet, personal revolt against the traditions which does not permit an old, forbidden love to blossom.
Started its way in the International Competition of Fajr International Film Festival and travelled to Dhaka International Film Festival and Geneva Oriental Film Festival, Navid Behtoei’s GISOUM is a narrative developed through a network of lies, revolving a girl, coming back to Iran from France, to search for her lost father and her own identity, and eventually finding herself in a world upside down.
