Logline:

The global statistics on autism have risen. A clinic in Iran is discovering a way to treat autism. The film, BABY DIGITAL, portrays the efforts of this centre to save children from a painful fate.

 

Synopsis:

Few families, with children under three, are striving to save their children. Their babies have clearly developed post-digital-autism syndrome, exposed to digital content.

Some of them manage to find some solutions to rescue their children.

 

Director’s View:

As Mohsen Makhmalbaf says, “Making films for children under the age of 3 is a crime, as it can contribute to the development of autism.”

Director’s Bio-filmography:

Born in 1962 in Taft, Province of Yazd, Iran, Mohammad Ahmadi is a graduate of Photography from the Faculty of Fine Arts – Tehran University. As a photographer, he has participated in 8 Photo Exhibitions and published two books, including one on GABBEH, a film by Mohsen Makhmalbaf. He started his film career at the Young Iranian Cinema Society – Yazd Office in 1983. In 1992, he began working as a still photographer. Up to now, Ahmadi has directed two feature films and 6 documentaries, produced 22 films, contributed to 11 feature and 3 short films as Director of Photography and 10 feature films as still photographer and worked as production manager in 14 feature films, including 12 films by Makhmalbaf’s family. He has received 16 national and international awards for his films during his career.

Ahmadi is a member of the Asia-Pacific Screen Awards.
