Best Short Documentary Award goes to MATIN at Immagina Florence FF 2025

Sam Soleimani’s MATIN wins the Best Short Documentary Award in the 3rd edition of Immagina Florence Film Festival (October 6th to 12th, 2025 / Italy).

MATIN is a thought-provoking documentary, travelling into the world of the solitude and marginalization of an Afghan illegal immigrant and the dogs in a deserted shelter in Iran, through an observing camera, capturing the vast void surrounding them.

The film has been already selected in Kobani IFF 2025 (Quarter-finalist), HeCare FF 2025, Immagina Florence FF 2025 (Best Short Documentary Award), DokuBaku 2025 (DokuShorts) and Jackson Docs Fest 2025.
