JUNKS & DOLLS to compete in Phoenix FF 2024
Manijeh Hekmat’s JUNKS & DOLLS is included in the World Cinema competitive program of the 24th Phoenix Film Festival (April 4th to 14th, 2024 / Phoenix, AZ, USA).
With a special focus on the environmental issues, the film depicts an eternal story in a new way, “Sometimes, when expelled, Adam and Eve find themselves in the middle of a wasteland and struggle to build a small heaven on the Earth for the sake of their love to each other and to the Mother Nature – however they are destined to be expelled time and time again…”
JUNKS & DOLLS has participated in Kolkata 2023, Kerala 2023 and Dhaka 2024 (The Best Film Award – Women Filmmakers Competition).
