THE HUSBAND in Pune IFF 2026

Ebrahim Irajzad’s film, THE HUSBAND, is a part of the Global Cinema program at the 24^th Pune International Film Festival (January 15^th to 22^nd, 2026 / India).

Irajzad has expressed that, “In Iran, we are under pressure, coming from a radical minority, imposing their ideas on the majority. So it looks like that when I, as a filmmaker, intend to talk about the women suffering from the bans on singing and playing and watching football, the acid attacks, the wife-beating and the consumerism, I should be put in the prison – and unfortunately it might happen so easily!
