BABY DIGITAL wins Pasolini Award at Lucania FF 2026

In its international premiere, Mohammad Ahmadi’s BABY DIGITAL won the Secret Program Pasolini Award at the 27^th Lucania Film Festival (August 2^nd to 9^th, 2026 / Italy).

The Pasolini Award (often listed under the festival’s “Secret Program”) at the Lucania Film Festival is a special recognition honouring politically or socially engaged independent cinema. Additionally, the festival prominently incorporates tributes to Pier Paolo Pasolini into its annual events, such as the symbolic Grandi funerali dei Calanchi community ritual in Pisticci.

Defining the film, Mohsen Makhmalbaf, the key contributor to the project, states, “Making films for children under the age of 3 is a crime, as it can contribute to the development of autism.”
