BANDAR BAND and FORCED to compete in Sama 2023

In the 14^th Sama International Film Festival (September 15^th to 17^th, 2023 / Stockholm, Sweden), Manijeh Hekmat’s BANDAR BAND and Siavash Gorjestani’s FORCED are selected for the competitive programs.

BANDAR BAND was premiered in TIFF – Toronto IFF 2020 and since then the film has been shown in 34 film festivals and events such as Zurich, Mill Valley, Bosphorus , Film from the South, Hainan, Kolkata (Winner of Golden Royal Bengal Tiger Award), Dhaka, Dortmund, Melbourne, Batumi (Jury’s Special Mention), etc.

FORCED has been already screened at FIff – Fajr IFF 2021 (Eastern Vista Competition), Wales IFF 2021 (Finalist – Best Foreign Language Short Film Category), Cineaste IFF of India 2021 (Short Fiction Film Competition), IDSFFK – International Documentary & Short Film Festival of Kerala 2022 (International Section – Out of Competition), Edo State IFF 2022 (Official Selection), Festival Internacional de Cine de la No-Violencia Activa – FICNOVA 2022 (Official Selection), Black Cat Award IFF 2022 (Competition), Sofia MENAR Film Festival 2023 (Short Films Category), Spiny Babbler IFF 2023 (Best Script Award), Mestia International Short and Mountain FF 2023 (Georgia) and Sama IFF 2023.
